Danielle's First Meet

On Saturday December 1st, Danielle had her first meet at gym. This was an in-house meet so it technically is not a real meet but it is for the gymnasts to get a feel for what a meet is. She was not nervous at all. She actually had a blast at the meet.

Her placements:

Bars - 2nd place 9.2

Beam - 6th place 7.4

Floor - 3rd place 9.1

Vault - 4th place 8.9

All-Around - 2nd place.

We were very proud of her. She didn't freeze up at all. She knew her routines and only made a few slight mistakes. It was a good experience for her and has brought the spark back into gym again.

Back Home

Well we returned from out trip to Michigan. I think we all had a really nice time. It snowed on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. We played in the snow in our PJ's. Then we woke up the next morning and had almost 3 inches on the ground. It was so beautiful. Still wouldn't mind moving there.

We enjoyed the company, our walks in the woods, shooting Dad's BB gun and eating strange food like squirell, deer, buffalo and Snicker Salad (its the bomb baby). Danielle liked the deer meat although she had no idea it was deer until the next day when my Dad and Mario told her.

We got to have snowball fights, make a sad little snowman, Danielle made snow angels.

Now back at home, Danielle went back to school after vacation. Tonight she has her first competition at gym. She is very excited about that. So am I but also nervous for her.

Dinner

Last night we ate squirell for dinner. Mario liked it a lot but Danielle wasn't so crazy about it but she tried it. It was pretty good. Went to my grandparents old house on the lake yesterday where I used to go swimming and fishing as a kid. That was pretty cool. The weather has been pretty cold, today its raining and a little windy out. Not too bad. I have been having a really nice time here. Its quiet and the air is clean and no graffiti or boom boom going down the road. LOVE IT. I would not mind living here but I don't think Mario wants to move here because of the weather. Oh well. That's it for now.

Michigan

Well we made it to Michigan in one piece. Flights were really good surpriseingly, even got in early to Mi. Danielle got to see snow flying in on the ground and then when we left the airport it was snowing. Not much though. There isn't any today but a few frozen flakes. Its pretty cold out but it is so beautiful out. Danielle is outside all bundled up with her Grandpa right now. She is having a blast. Anyway that's it for now. Will update later. Bye

November 14

Well we left our house. We are at Grandma Luz's house until 4am tomorrow. Then off to Michigan.
Got 20 minutes from home and had to turn around because I forgot to change my shoes. Oh well better than going and buying new ones again.
I am so glad we are on vacation. I really needed this. Yeah!!! Well I will update from Michigan if I get a chance. Bye for now.

Vacation

Well it has been a very busy last two weeks. Danielle has been off track with school so we have been doing lots of things. We went to the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert a week ago. She had an absolute blast. It wasn't a bad show either. Then we went to Disneyland on Friday. Took my niece with us since she got straight A's on her report card. We are getting ready to go to Michigan to see my Dad and my stepmom. Haven't been there in a few years so we are looking forward to that. Danielle is so excited about seeing her grandparents. This will be one of her favorite vacations I think. With the concert, disneyland and Michigan she has been loving it.

November 5th!

Danielle and I are getting ready to go shopping. Need new shoes for a trip to Michigan. We went exercising this morning in the fog. She is doing homework because she got tons of it for her vacation. Four weeks off school and no break from school work. Doesn't bother me. Well off to the store.
